2008 Lambs are Here |
|
When you look for your show lambs or breeding stock, you want quality and value for your dollar. We have put together some of the leading genetics for you to consider in this year's crop. Did you ever wish you had 70 head of Hancock Hampshire ewes lambing for you? Ewes such as the maternal granddam of Dutschmann’s 3rd place market lamb at Houston in 2007, or the granddam of "Just Imagine". We did. |

That's right! 70 head of Hancock ewes with February, March, and April lambs on the ground -- available in Missouri, Kansas, and every state that has a highway.
Our pens are now open for you to make your selections. We have competitive wethers available now and some top ram lambs.
Don't wait long if you want a ram, we are going to offer no more than 5 ram lambs from this crop and we want to sell top wethers to go out and win shows.
Come see the difference!
The Reserve Champion Blackface Lamb at the 2007 Arizona State Fair (shown at
right) is an example of the powerful lambs that we have been producing with our
original ewe base.
With ewes such as the granddam of the 3rd overall wether at the 2007 Houston Stock Show, or the granddam of "Just Imagine", we believe 2008 will have some contenders to choose from with the addition of the Hancock ewes!
Hancock 7081 (a.k.a. "Le BaRRoNN") joins the stud ram line up bred primarily to our Hancock brood ewes along with the "Ultra" and "100 Proof" ewe lambs in the purchase. The "Leverage" ewe lambs were bred to our "Trademark" grandson: "IRRoNN" -- the full brother to the Grand Champion of the TCLA Fall Classic both days in 2004.
Mike Hancock called 7081 a female sire that can provide us with winning wethers while we continue to build a strong foundation base of outstanding ewes. 7081 is a long-sided ram with great Hampshire type and a strong line of winning genetics. He has a solid rack, outstanding loin and top with a great hip and leg.

2005 Eastern Stud Ram Sale
Reserve Champion X-Bred Ewe and High Selling Wether Dam
The Hancock Hampshire Ewes make a tremendous addition to our existing ewe base. We are pleased to still be able to offer the original base genetics that have worked well for our customers. The ewe pictured above was produced in the Ashley Club Lambs program and was sired by an All‑American ram purchased in 2004 - "Rowdy".
We've also sold rams that have sired the Reserve Champion Wether at the 2007 Western Frontier Sale, the 2nd place X-Bred Yearling Ewe at the Western Frontier, and several lambs that have won shows around the U.S. We are very selective with the rams we offer for sale. We won't sell a ram unless it meets our high standards to represent our program well.
Check with us for your winning wethers or show ewes in 2008 and for your wether sire or dam selection to produce winners from your flock in 2009!

ANNOUNCING the Arrival 3025 is the $4,500 bred ewe at the Premier Bred Ewe Sale and the dam of the "Lottery Pick" ram used by Keith Berry and the "Governor" ram used by Repasky and Petzenhauser. "Storm Cat" was one of the lead rams at Hancock's for 2008 babies. This lamb was bred to be powerful and he has shown us more and more every day that he is living up to the promise. |
