"Trooper"

Sire: "Storm Cat"

Dam:  Hancock 3025

"Trooper" is the result of purchasing the $4,500 Hancock 3025 ewe at the 2007 Premier Bred Ewe sale.  She was bred to "Storm Cat" when we purchased her in partnership with Kroeger Club Lambs.

"Trooper" has the width of top and rump that many are searching for, as well as a good amount of leg to complete the picture.  His clean front combined with excellent lines make him a good profiling - thick sheep.  He may be just a little bigger racked than his awesome sire as well.

Hancock 3025 is also the dam of the "Lottery Pick" ram used by Keith Berry and the "Governor" ram used by Repasky and Petzenhauser.

"Storm Cat" may be thicker through the hip and stifle than any other attractive lamb that has been produced.  (If you doubt it, ask Millers of Texas who purchased 1/2 interest in "Storm Cat".)

When Mike Hancock saw the photos of "Trooper" he said he shouldn't have sold that ewe and that this ram lamb is the real deal. He looks the part; he is bred to sire great lambs; and he will have his chance. "Trooper" will be used primarily on some 2008 ewe lambs for later spring/early summer lambs.
